North Shore Racing
North Shore Racing Partnerships began in 2005, although Alan has been involved in Thoroughbred ownership for 20 years.
Each North Shore Racing Partnership is typically made up of four to six horses purchased at the Two Year-old in training sales held in Florida, Kentucky and Maryland in the early spring.
Partnerships afford busy people or tentative investors a chance to get involved in racing without shouldering all the responsibilities and risk that come with sole ownership.
|"I think that if you have partners that you enjoy being with and have mutual interests, the experience can be great fun," said Alan. "I believe that when you win, the more the merrier, and it's great to share the camaraderie of others. The partnership offering goes out to a limited number of people – men and women that would enjoy each other's company and have a great afternoon at the track."
"When I am managing partnership horses I am aggressive with placing horses where they belong and moving horses that are not performing well for the partnership," explained Alan. "It's important to find that level where a horse can earn and win."
North Shore's horses are primarily in training with Barclay Tagg, who conditioned the 2003 Kentucky Derby winner Funny Cide.
Some of North Shore's stars have included the Graded Stakes placed Moral Compass, Radical Sabbatical, and Evangelical to name a few.
